Fowberry Enclosure 1 (April 2007)
sketchfab
Area of carved outcrop found in the Fowberry Moor/Newtown Moor area, near Wooler, Northumberland. This area of outcrop has numerous motifs consisting of cups, rings, partial rings, penannulars, grooves and a rare grid pattern. Whilst some motifs are extremely eroded, others are in a good state of preservation and still display tool marks. This may suggest different phases of carving or exposure. Some plough damage is evident on the stone. Recorded on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and by NADRAP as ‘Fowberry Enclosure 1’, it was added to ERA in 2008. ERA record with BA info: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=206 Model created from 6 stereo pairs captured by Kevin Malloy in April 2007. The imagery forms part of the NADRAP / ERA archive.
