The Fournier RF-4 is a motor glider boasting a 1500 CC 4-cylinder opposed inline power source, allowing it to self-launch and feature an impressive range. This single-seat aircraft serves as both a personal plane and glider, as well as a long-range sports model. Designed and constructed in 1966, the RF-4 is equipped with a retractable monowheel housed within the fuselage's center, along with a small tail wheel for steering and outrigger wheels to maintain wing balance. In May 1969, an RF-4D crossed the Atlantic Ocean. The RF-4 was aerobatic while the RF-4D was the production version, with 155 units produced in total.
