Available in several formats, the Fournier RF-4 motor glider boasts a 1500 CC 4-cylinder engine and is capable of self-launching with an impressive long-range capability. As a single-seat aircraft, it has been used as a personal plane, glider, and long-range sport plane. Designed in 1966, this aircraft's unique design includes a retractable monowheel housed within the fuselage, a small tail wheel for steering, and outrigger wheels for wing balance. The RF-4D version was flown across the Atlantic Ocean in May 1969, with 155 units built in total, including the aerobatic RF-4 model.
