Four Piece Pyramid Puzzle (Stewart Coffin #26)
thingiverse
I rapidly assembled Stewart Coffin's four-piece pyramid design. It comprises four non-congruent pieces, each made of five rhombic dodecahedrons. There exists only one solution and one assembly sequence that will yield it. This puzzle is significantly more challenging than its low part count suggests. I did not apply any offsets to the design, which means parts do not slide as smoothly as I prefer. I have included the files for the rhombic dodecahedron used (including a parametric version if one wishes to experiment with forms featuring beveled points) in case anyone wants to further explore or attempt to make parts by welding individual rhombic dodecahedrons together. The included STL files are scaled for the smaller puzzle depicted. The larger one is simply each part scaled at 150% in Slic3r. Supports are necessary for all parts.
