Four Motor Laser Spirograph DIY
thingiverse
My DIY project is a 4-motor spirograph that transforms a single laser light into incredible geometric shapes. Creating it yourself is relatively straightforward, requiring some basic knowledge of electronics and soldering skills. To get started, you'll need the following components: - 4 DC motors with voltage ranges between 1 and 4.5 volts or 3 to 6 volts - 4 10K potentiometers - 4 on-off switches - 4 TO-220 electronic components - 4 mirrors with diameters of approximately 3cm - 1 high-power laser pointer rated at 200 milliwatts - 1 main on-off switch - 1 indicator LED If you decide to include an indicator LED, be sure to connect a resistor in the circuit, as the voltage may require it. I used a 10K resistor when working with a 9-volt power supply. You can purchase these components from online marketplaces like eBay or AliExpress. To assemble the project, connect the main switch between the power source and the other switches, and attach the small switches before the circuit as depicted in the accompanying image. For any questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
