Four-Link conversion for Losi 1/18 Mini Rock Crawler (MRC, ECX Temper, Redcat Everest 16) Axles
thingiverse
I engineered this adapter block to convert my Losi MRC into a four-link system. I utilized reconfigured Redcat Everest top links for now, with additional ends from the lowers. I intend to replace these with longer original lower links (bent to fit) so that I can move the mounting point closer to the axle. The lowers will be replaced with longer Everest lowers, also bent to length. ECX Temper (or even Barrage) parts could work as well. Both are available on e-bay and you can get a complete chassis with most if not all of the parts needed for under $20. This might also work to convert either of those crawlers, as they have a similar y-link setup, if you get some extra endlinks, but I don't have either so I'm unsure. You can, of course, create DIY links out of M3 threaded rod and ball-ends. I designed several versions with the thought of multiple mounting and link options (ball-stud vs through-hole for heim joint, DIY links vs reconfiguring stock). The short v1 stays closer to the original link length and has provision for a backing nut, but is wider, which might require outboarding the shocks on the axle depending on how you can bend your upper links and if you inboard them on the chassis (which requires ditching or trimming the trans cover for one of them). v2 or "narrow" version helps clear the shocks in stock position with custom links. The extended versions allow the use of reconfigured stock or other shorter upper links while keeping your driveshaft angles in check, and help clear the shocks.
