Four in a line
thingiverse
A last-minute Christmas shopper, I was tasked with finding a Connect Four game this year; however, it was out of stock everywhere. Undeterred, I crafted my own version using acrylic sheets for the front and back panels, as well as two sets of checkers in different colors. The removable side supports were made from another 1/4-inch thick acrylic sheet. To assemble, place the spacers between the front and back pieces, ensuring they're not forced together, and use Windex if necessary for lubrication. Set up vertically with tabs inserted into holes on the side supports and checker retainers in the bottom of each column. Players take turns placing a checker, aiming to get four in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to win. The game is reset by removing the checker retainers, allowing the checkers to fall out. A new file has been added for a one-piece checker stopper/dropper for easier gameplay.
