Four feet of Chain mail one print

Four feet of Chain mail one print

thingiverse

I wanted to test just how much chain mail I could print on one single bed. This particular print took a whopping 200 hours, using roughly three pounds of filament and 100% infill - clearly overkill in this case. There's definitely room for improvement with this design, and I plan to revisit it sometime down the line. *Note: The layers look terrible because this was printed out using an extremely worn smart extruder+.* Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator+ Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100% Notes: PLA is incredibly brittle and the rings tend to shatter rather than deform, which might not be as big of an issue after some tweaking.
