An Inrap team has been leading an extensive excavation at Alizay since early April as part of a quarry extension by CEMEX Granulats and LAFARGE GRANULATS FRANCE companies. Located at the confluence of the Seine and Eure rivers, this site has been inhabited by humans from the end of the Paleolithic era to the Iron Age, revealing numerous relics from Prehistory and Protohistory. As a result, more than 10,000 years of human occupation are being retraced by archaeologists.
