A 6cm diameter four colour globe with relief including a stand. If you are using PrusaSlicer, by far the easiest way to print this is to use the two included 3mf files. Otherwise, check out the picture of the parts: that's what you want to end up with. First print the stand, joiner, two pins, and frame. Each hemisphere of the globe has six parts (internal sphere, land, water, mountains, ice, and pin-holder). These parts are named with "top" and "bottom" so they are easy to pick out. I printed this with 0.2mm layers. The frame prints fast because it is one colour. The hemispheres print took just over 20 hours total printing time (because of all the filament changes!). I was thinking of doing a larger globe, but not sure I have the patience! The frame parts were generated by the included open scad file (driven by the shell script that is also included). The terrain data was generated by a program I wrote that sed a few different GIS data sets available on the internet. The polar ice dataset is from May 2020 - obviously it would look different at other times of year or in other years!
