Four Canal Houses
thingiverse
The models show four types of gable seen on houses along the canals in Amsterdam. They are: Bell Gable (Klokgevel) Neck Gable (Halsgevel) Spout Gable (Tuitgevel) Step Gable (Trapgevel) SIZE: 5cm. x 8cm. x 14.25cm. high. Each model consists of three parts: Gable, House and Roof, designed to be slotted together and fixed in place with Superglue. (See diagram above.) The House and Roof parts are the same for all four models. The Roof fits snuggly into the House, so if the Roof is not glued into place, the model can be used as a box with the Roof serving as a removable lid. The models in the photos were printed on my MakerBot Replicator+ at the default setting of 10% infill and a layer height of 0.2mm. I used rafts, but no supports are needed when the parts are printed in the same orientation as the STL files shown here. Thanks to Lieke den Bakker for the idea.
