This Fountain boasts a majestic sculpture of Seagod. Water deities are deeply rooted in mythology, often associated with water or various bodies of water. These water gods were highly revered in civilizations where the sea or ocean held immense importance, and their worship was also significant at springs or holy wells. A fountain is a remarkable piece of architecture that pours water into a basin or jets it high into the air to supply drinking water and/or create a dramatic effect. Originally, fountains served purely functional purposes, connected to natural springs or aqueducts, providing drinking water and water for bathing and washing to residents of cities, towns, and villages. Additionally, fountains were used to decorate and celebrate their builders. Roman fountains featured bronze or stone masks of animals or heroes. In the Middle Ages, Moorish and Muslim garden designers crafted miniature versions of paradise using fountains. King Louis XIV of France utilized fountains in the Gardens of Versailles to showcase his power over nature. The baroque decorative fountains of Rome in the 17th and 18th centuries marked the arrival point of restored Roman aqueducts, glorifying the Popes who built them.
