Fostruder S7 (dual motor extruder)
cults3d
1.75mm dual Nema 17 extruder design, born out of curiosity, yet surprisingly effective for weeks now, successfully handling all the filaments I've tried (PLA, ABS, PC, NinjaFlex, TPU, Nylon). The block boasts two hinges that can be adjusted with tensioning screws to set the perfect gap between the drive gears. Motors were linked in series (powered by 24V, 1.3A), though whether you prefer series or parallel setup depends on your specific configuration (I'm still unsure about driving motors in series with 12V and if you opt for parallel hookup, high current stepper drivers may be necessary to achieve enough torque). Parts required: 2 - Nema17 motors (max 22mm shaft) 2 - E3D hobgoblin drive gears 1 - 1/8" threaded bowden coupling 2 - M3 threaded inserts 2 - M3 x 25mm screws 8 - M3 x 10mm screws 1 - optional series motor connector (obtained from Peter Stoneham)
