Fostruder H4 - Dual Drive Extruder
cults3d
Dual motor, dual drive bowden extruder. This setup utilizes two NEMA14 motors and two drive gears. The motors should be connected to run in opposite directions and can be wired either serially or in parallel - I would typically wire the motors in series on a 24V printer and in parallel on the 12V printer, but it also depends on the specific motors and drivers. To adjust the gap between the gears, two screws are used. Alternatively, small springs can be employed for a constant tension configuration. Here is the list of parts I used: * Two 0.8A NEMA14 Motors * Two Stainless steel extruder gears * One Bowden Coupler * M3 Screws (two M3x20 and four M4x30 socket cap screws) For more information on various dual drive bowden extruders, visit thrinter.com. This extruder was printed using Atomic Filament Ruby Red PETG. *Affiliate link
