A fossil snail, belonging to the gastropod mollusk family, was discovered in Egypt's Western Desert. It was meticulously scanned at Dr. Franek Hasiuk's GeoFabLab, a facility under Iowa State University's Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences. The scanning process was executed using the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner with "Light" settings.
