For extended bike rides, using a phone for navigation is incredibly practical, but the power drain is a major problem. To tackle this challenge, the power of the hub dynamo can significantly mitigate this issue. (USB power banks are also an option, but they still require recharging.) The forumslider from Jens During at forumslader.de/automatiklader is a fantastic charger for this purpose. You can opt for the A Head version or the Kompakt version. I chose the Kompakt version because it allows me to charge my phone in my tent or recharge the internal batteries. I also needed to create a housing for it. The housing is a replica of the design from 3dninjaprintor on thingiverse.com/thing:3148124. So, 95% of the credit goes to 3dninjaprintor. I merely made some adjustments, such as removing the dovetail mount.
