I'm excited to share my latest project with you - a 3D model of the Fortnite logo created using Tinkercad! This free online tool allows users to design and print 3D objects, and I must say it's incredibly user-friendly. To start, I opened up Tinkercad and began by selecting the "New Model" option. From there, I was presented with a blank canvas where I could begin designing my Fortnite logo. The interface is quite intuitive, making it easy to navigate and experiment with different shapes and designs. First, I created a circle to serve as the base of the logo. This was achieved by clicking on the "Circle" tool and dragging my cursor around to define the desired radius. Once I had my circle in place, I could start working on the shape's dimensions and proportions. Next, I added some extrusions to give my logo some depth. Tinkercad allows you to add various shapes and features to your design by using its extensive library of tools. In this case, I used the "Extrude" tool to create a series of cylindrical shapes that would eventually become the iconic Fortnite battle bus. To add some texture and visual interest to my logo, I employed Tinkercad's texture mapping feature. This allowed me to apply a custom image or pattern to my design, giving it a unique look that sets it apart from other 3D printed logos. With my logo complete, I exported it as an STL file and sent it off to be printed on our MakerBot Replicator. The result was a stunning 3D model of the Fortnite logo that turned out perfectly. Overall, working with Tinkercad has been an absolute blast! Not only did I learn how to use this powerful tool, but I also gained valuable experience in designing and printing my own 3D models.
