Fortnite Chest

I took my Z-mech chest and gave it a complete makeover with some exciting changes. I merged the top and bottom parts into identical sizes, allowing them to print flat without any support needed. The bolt lock now points upwards and cuts through the lid just like the game chest does. Additionally, I added rotating handles for better functionality. Some intricate nut details were also incorporated into the design. To match the game chest's style, I simplified the chest sides under the top planks to a single layer. Furthermore, I modified the hinge system; it now requires a bit of thick wire to thread it properly. I took my Z-mech chest and imported it into Blender for further customization. With just a few clicks, I added a dent to the lid, giving it a more realistic look. However, I will upload both versions – with and without the dent – so you can see the difference for yourself. My own print was done at 80% scale in brown, and then painted with yellow, silver, and bronze colors using a quick dry brush technique. The darker under color remained intact while the rest of the chest received a bold new look. To achieve this unique texture, I printed it "fast," allowing the rougher surface to resemble the Fortnite chest's distinctive appearance. If you're feeling adventurous, printing it in glow-in-the-dark mode with some paint on top would make for an electrifying display at night. The glowing effect would add a whole new dimension to your print. After updating the lid to address its thinness near the dent, I'm excited to share my revamped design with you. I'd love to see how you like it and encourage you to show off your own prints – let's get creative together!
