The Fort of São Francisco model, located in Vila Franca do Campo. Completely non-existent now, the Fort of São Francisco, or the Forca, was originally designed to protect the area around the Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo's narrow opening. Some sources claim it had six cannons, but according to the 1815 plans consulted for this model, there were only five. It was replaced and buried on the same date by the Fort of Gonçalo Velho, which is also non-existent now.
