Fort Worth Tower 55 (HO scale)
thingiverse
I wanted to see what I could do with the local library's 3D printer, and I had recently set up my old HO train along one of our ceilings. The nearby historic Tower 55 seemed like a fun project, and here are the results. A lot of work, but worth it (I think). Designed mostly with Tinkercad, sliced with KISSlicer, printed on a PolyPrinter 229. I later replaced the original stair and roof support models once I learned a little Blender. All of the individual parts were spray painted. Here's some info about the tower's history (I have no connection to either, but they are both interesting and provided some useful photographs): https://hometownbyhandlebar.com/?p=5789 http://txrrhistory.com/towers/055/055.htm A big thank you goes out to the very nice & helpful folks at the Fort Worth Library for being able to use their printers! (Tower_55.stl was uploaded so it can be viewed & rotated, etc ... I wouldn't recommend printing it.)
