I'm thrilled to share these exceptional 3D models with you. Print Settings Printer: Yasin 200 Dual Extruder & Winbo Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10 Notes: Created for the 4th July Independence Day in USA tomorrow, these models are a tribute to American freedom and democracy. The Fort Wood plinth on Liberty Island (formerly Bedloe's Island) was designed using original dwgs found online, based on its history with the Statue of Liberty. This upload includes the original Thingiverse Statue of Liberty with base building by hroncok, published Mar 25, 2013 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:65869). I'd like to thank hroncok and other contributors for their dedication to these source files. Post-Printing Fitting Together Either print it as a single part - simply place the Base Building and Statue of Liberty on top - or, you can print separate parts (resulting in a much larger final model) - parts should fit neatly together and be glued in place if needed. How I Designed This Solidworks, Meshmixer, Simplify3D were my tools of choice. I found the plans for Fort Wood online and used them as an image to create the 3D design in Solidworks. I scaled it in Meshmixer to match the original Statue of Liberty and Base Building - creating the single-piece Fort Wood Plinth.stl. Then, I used Meshmixer to slice the Fort Wood Plinth STL into sections that fit on my printer's bed, allowing you to scale as needed.
