Fort Popham is a coastal defense fortification from the Civil War era situated at the mouth of the Kennebec River in Maine. The site is visible to the short-lived Popham Colony, named after its leader George Popham, just like the colony itself. The fort is located about two miles inland from popular Popham Beach State Park and is open to the public as Fort Popham State Historic Site. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 1, 1969, under reference number 69000012.
