The 250th and 267th Coast Defense Battalions were part of the US Army's coastal defense forces during World War II. Established in Hawaii in 1942, they played a crucial role in defending against potential Japanese invasions. The units saw extensive action, particularly on the island of Oahu, where they manned anti-aircraft and coastal guns to counter enemy aircraft and naval threats. Despite their efforts, the battalions ultimately suffered heavy losses during the war, with many soldiers killed or wounded in combat.
