Here's a simple guide for creating your own Forstner bit. I designed it with an Irwin 3/4" bit in mind, which features a 3/8" shank for standard hand drill use. A depression at the top is provided to securely glue in a fender washer, preventing bit chatter from causing the hole to ovalize.\r\n\r\nThe STL file included allows for easy slicing, while the *.sat file enables modifications - perfect for adapting this design to other bits or custom projects.
