Formula Students are engineering students who design and build a racing car to compete against other teams from all over Europe and beyond. Each year, about 5000 students take part in this competition which takes place at the Hockenheimring track in Germany. The Formula Student is not just a competition but also an opportunity for the students to gain real world experience as they get hands on training while building their cars. The teams are judged on three key areas - cost, performance and efficiency of the car that they build.
