Hi. I'm a newcomer to 3D printing but a seasoned mechanical designer with several years of experience under my belt. My background includes stints in various industries, including the prestigious world of Formula One engine design. This model is an authentic piston from a 2014 V6 turbocharged F1 engine. For obvious reasons, I won't reveal which manufacturer it belongs to. The quality of the model is intentionally subpar, making precise measurement impossible. This design was crafted by a team of skilled engineers who poured their expertise into its creation. I didn't attempt to print this model myself due to its complex engineering and my novice status in 3D printing. However, upon closer inspection, I suspect it will require supports and features noticeable gaps. If someone decides to take on the challenge, I'd love to hear your feedback!
