This is a 1/24 model of the Spark Racing Technologies SRT_01E, the spec car dominating the first year of the Formula E World Championship with its impressive electric powertrain. As an electric car, it boasts a unique design that sets it apart from other major formulas - its strengths and weaknesses are shaped by its distinct power source. The sidepods are sleekly designed to be small and set further back, taking advantage of lower cooling demands to optimize performance. To minimize drag, the wings are streamlined with low angles of attack and feature wedges to expertly direct air around the tires. The tires themselves are treaded for maximum grip but non-directional, a clever design choice that I'll be exploring further in future models; meanwhile, the wheels are unusually large for an open-wheel car.
