While these hoops may not exactly meet your requirements for pushing a bowden printer to record print times, they will undoubtedly make it appear as though it is speeding along at 200mph. These spool adapters are straightforward to print and do not require any supports. Each rim boasts an impressive amount of detail considering the 2.8m of 1.75mm filament they encompass. The STL files are designed for 54mm ID spools, such as those from Hatchbox, featuring an M8 threaded rod serving as an axle. Two versions are available: a standard and an extended hub that enables stacking of horizontal spools (see updates for additional sizes). Given its creation in Freecad, I can easily make adjustments without expending significant effort (e.g., adding different sizes, ball bearing support, or functional designs for r/c car versions). Therefore, don't hesitate to suggest a variant on this design if you're interested. Thanks! Update 081318: Added STL files for 57mm spools to accommodate 3D Solutech and similar spool types. Update 081318: Included STL files for 86mm spools to fit Ninjaflex mini spools.
