Formula 1 BatCar
thingiverse
Introducing the BatCar project for a university race! This vehicle utilizes a spring for propulsion and features intricate mechanics. Printing and assembly took considerable time, so initial errors are being corrected. Be advised that there are ongoing fixes; do not print until updates are released. The BatCar requires 1x Batcar, 8x Wheel_EXT, 4x Wheel_INT, 1x Platform, 1x Screw, 1x Holder (to be fixed), 1x Spring Axis, and 1x manually-made box. Measurements for the box are provided, but note that printing may cause issues due to plastic cooling before the next layer is extruded. Wheels require two Wheel_EXT pieces per single wheel. The spring axis must be glued to the platform to prevent spinning. A Batman symbol can be added using this Thingiverse link. Assembly instructions are detailed, including how the wheels, platform, and spring axis fit together. Release the car by moving the holder in the box, and watch it accelerate via spring force without turning when near the edge.
