Human Version 2 with many enhancements: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2131666 The design is based on antscanada.com's impressive ant nests, but shipping costs were prohibitively expensive for me, so I designed my own formicarium for my Camponotus herculeanus ants. You can add cotton to the base piece, attach the chamber on top of it, and water the base piece from both sides (the walls have tiny holes), to control humidity levels. The entrance blocks are designed for 12/16mm aquarium tubes. I separated them so you can create your own entrance blocks or modify existing ones if needed. This way, you won't have to reprint the entire formicarium in case something breaks. You will need a sheet of 2mm acrylic glass. I drilled a hole through both the glass and the formicarium to hold it in place (not shown in the pictures). Alternatively, you can glue the sheet securely. Print Settings Rafts: You may choose to use or not use rafts, as they are not essential. Supports: Yes, some supports are necessary. Notes: The rows on the bottom of the chamber and base are designed to prevent warping. Post-Printing You might need to file a bit to get the top and bottom pieces together smoothly.
