Former Singapore National Stadium

The massive National Stadium at Kallang was unveiled to the public in July 1973, boasting an impressive 55,000-capacity audience. Countless Singaporeans treasure warm memories of unforgettable events that took place within its iconic walls. During its heyday, the stadium became a witness to Malaysia Cup tournaments, where Singapore's national team triumphantly secured victory three times - in 1977, 1980, and a thrilling win in 1994. Alas, the old National Stadium gave way to demolition in 2010, making way for the magnificent new Singapore Sports Hub that now proudly stands in its place.
