FormBot T-Rex 2+ Drip Bucket for Silicone Wiper
thingiverse
I got fed up with the brass wire brushes on my T-Rex 2+ getting clogged up completely and decided to redesign the drip buckets to use a strip of silicone instead. The silicone blade I'm using can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y6JNSV7 This should last for about 8-10 buckets, so you won't run out anytime soon even if it wears out eventually. You can find the full Fusion 360 design here: http://a360.co/2zMYRDi Once printed, just cut a piece of the silicone blade to length and slide it in from the back, then attach with the thumb screw from the original bucket. I made sure the blade was oriented so that the flat edge faced into the bucket, which puts more resistance on the nozzle when leaving than entering, knocking off oozing filament better. I admit, the brush might be better at cleaning off plastic that has gotten all over the nozzle itself, but I'm very particular about completely cleaning it off before starting a print, so this is mainly for knocking off drips during tool changes.
