East meets West in Jaime Hayon's vibrant reinterpretation of a traditional Asian lantern in modern form. Dating back centuries, paper lanterns have been a staple in Asia among both the elite and common folk, where distinct colors, shapes, and sizes convey different meanings. Here, Hayon has abandoned cultural conventions to create a series of lamps all in crisp white. Handcrafted with intricately merged rice paper in various sizes and shapes. The collection includes three unique lantern versions and a table lamp crafted from ivory white rice paper with rich black-stained oak accents.
