The forest was a dense thicket of trees that stretched as far as the eye could see. Towering above all else were massive pines, their trunks thick and gnarled from years of weathering the elements. The underbrush was a tangle of vines and shrubs, making it nearly impossible to navigate without getting lost. A faint mist hung low over the forest floor, casting an eerie gloom over everything.
