Ford XR4 (ST150) Wheel Centre Cap for 17" Factory Rims
thingiverse
This is my design for a 2007 Ford Fiesta XR4 Wheel Centre Cap for the factory 17" rims. It was generated from scratch on FreeCAD 0.18 for Windows x64. The factory centre caps are known to pop out and get lost, so they are starting to get rare and expensive. This will clip into the factory rim and clear the wheel nuts. I have set this to a high polygon count so that the face can be as smooth as possible. I print with the clips down, outward face up, with full supports. It gets a bit messy underneath, but since it is not visible that does not bother me. I've only printed this on PLA so far for test fitting - I'd love to see the results and get some tips on how best to print and finish this. Note that it has XR4 in the centre embossed on the front face using a trueType Font that I created from scratch from factory badges. The centre depression is a tidy 65mm, so a 65mm Ford Gel Sticker (available on eBay or Aliepxress) would go well here and cover that up for the overseas cars, which are known as the ST150 in every other market but Australia.
