Ford Transit Seat Pedestal Adapter for Diesel Heater Vent
thingiverse
I installed a diesel heater under the passenger seat in my Ford Transit. I cut out a section of the pedestal to pass the air vent through, but wanted a way to mount the circular vent perpendicular to the pedestal. I grabbed some angles and measurements and came up with this part. I believe that the hole size should be similar to that of the Propex furnaces as well. It can mount to the pedestal with 3M VHB or black high-temp adhesive silicone. NOTE: I printed this with PETG and found after 1 hour at max heater output, the areas of the print directly touching the vent were pliable. I opted to use this part as a template for cutting wood to make the part, but if you can print higher-temp filaments, it may be feasible to use the part directly. You could also experiment with coating the part with high-temp silicone, enamel, or other means of shielding the part from the direct contact heat. I believe that adding a small wooden or metal ring directly at the mount surface may remedy it as well.
