Ford Ranger Projector Retrofit 01-12
thingiverse
This design fits snugly into the 01-12 Ford Ranger headlight housing. I deliberately chose to use a Morimoto Bixenon H1 V 5.0 projector, but the newer 7.0 model should fit just as well, and you may even be able to squeeze in the D2S 5.0 or D2H bulbs with some adjustments. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to show because I've sold my truck, but rest assured that this design fits perfectly. Here are a few things to keep in mind when building this project: 1. You'll need to print it with a high-temperature material like PETG or Nylon. 2. Make sure to use at least 20% infill for added strength. 3. Use the retrofit alignment washer and a 3-inch holesaw to carefully cut out the housing, making sure your drillbit is straight before attempting this. Glue the washer into place where the factory bulb sits. Next, slide the cup in from the backside and attach it to the housing using epoxy resin or a similar adhesive, taking care to ensure the cup doesn't point upwards or downwards and has three points of contact with the lip of the cup. If you don't do this correctly, you'll have to tilt the headlight to get the alignment right. Once everything is dry, mount your projectors and test both headlights on the truck, making sure the beam pattern is level. Finally, re-seal the headlights and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
