Ford Ranger Floor Console Hold Down Fastener
thingiverse
This is a custom plastic part designed specifically for the 2004 Ford Ranger. It plays a crucial role in securing the center floor console to its mounting plate on the transmission "hump". Unfortunately, I managed to break mine while trying to reassemble it, so I brought it inside and meticulously measured it up. Using Solidworks 2013, I skillfully created a replacement part that accurately replicates the original's dimensions and functionality. Considering the design of this component, it's likely that similar parts can be found in other Ford models such as the Suburban, F150, or Explorer. If you're looking for a part that matches yours exactly, chances are it will fit seamlessly into place. To facilitate any necessary modifications, I've included the Solidworks file with this design. Print Settings: Printer: MicroMake Delta Mini (Ebay) Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: When printing my replacement part using PLA, I opted for 100% infill to ensure maximum durability. While it appears sturdy enough in its current state, I firmly believe that ABS would be a more suitable material for this particular application, given its enhanced strength and resistance properties.
