FORD QUADRICYCLE 1896

The FORD QUADRICYCLE was designed and built by Henry FORD, just after he developed his first petrol engine. While he was still a salaried employee, he built this car in a small workshop, so small, in fact, that he had to break the door down to be able to try it out on the street when it was finished. link to the model made during its first test: https://youtu.be/tPvtD8a7nZA The proposed model is as close as possible to the original. It is 1/6, for a length of 330mm. Its frame for mechanical resistance is made of 6x6 aluminium angle iron. The fake engine is made in 3D printing. The motor that drives the model is an IGARACHI TYP 20G-50, controlled by a Modelcraft 207368 mini-drive, and powered by a LIPO 7.4 V 1500 mAh Red Power C9404 25 C battery. The transmission between the engine and the rear wheel is made by a LEGO TECHNICAL chain. A deflection device also makes it possible to animate the "steering bar" at the same time as the wheels turn. The 4 tyres are printed in NIJAFLEX, mounted on two-piece rims. The spokes are made of wire. For aesthetic reasons the seat and the front block is made of wood. The screws are mainly M2, M3 and M4.
