Ford Fusion Hook Rev 2
thingiverse
This is an updated revision of the classic Ford Fusion hook design, originally created years ago (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39495). That ABS version lasted nearly 7 years in the car before it finally gave out. I opted for SolidWorks over OpenScad this time around, sparing myself the hassle of relearning an outdated scripting language. This revised design is essentially a single-piece model with a reinforcing rib running through its center. The rib's primary function was to minimize filament usage, but as luck would have it, it also ended up strengthening the overall structure. The print was made using Amazon Basics PETG (https://amzn.to/2Zk3IIL), a reliable and affordable material choice for this project. My wife requested a hook that could securely attach under the headrest of our 2013 Ford Fusion to hold her bag in place while driving. After some tinkering, I came up with this design to meet her needs.
