Human: A broken key ring loop has left my Ford Freestar (2006) key fob in need of a replacement solution. I've found one, however - a brand new case featuring an ultra-sturdy key ring loop. File off any remnants of the existing loop from this worn-out part, slip it into its newer counterpart and you'll be good to go. Applying a small dollop of silicon caulk or glue will help secure the fob firmly in place so it doesn't slip out. My setup has worked perfectly since January 2015, marking it probably one of the most practical fixes I've ever put together! Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 100% Notes: I print this item with 100% infill density and have supports touching the build plate. Both a 0.1mm or a 0.2mm layer height will get the job done just fine. Designing This I designed it in AutoDesk Inventor, creating a larger block to accommodate the key fob first then using a CAD "cutting" tool to 'extract' the fob model from its host block with success on the very first try!
