Ford Focus Dash Mount (for use with Sync console)
thingiverse
I built this mount specifically for my Note 3, which is housed in an Otter Box, to hold it securely on my dashboard's edge above the sync display. The design's base parts can accommodate a wide variety of devices, including GPS and dash cams, by easily swapping out the cross bar and/or phone clips. I initially printed this mount using PLA, given the current winter season. However, once spring rolls around, I plan to reprint it in PET. To secure the central post, I incorporated an M3 screw that features a nut embedded within its internal wall. Meanwhile, the cross bracket is held in place by a #6 machine screw and corresponding nut. To attach the base ring to the main clip, I opted for gorilla glue, but users may also consider applying light, non-permanent adhesive if additional stability is required in certain situations.
