I'm still trying to get my head around what happened to my car's fuel tank door - someone must have stolen it. I've had to print a makeshift one until I can get an authentic replacement. The big question is, how will the PLA hold up in Israel's scorching sun and heat? To ensure the snap hooks are strong enough and won't break apart when mounting them on my car, I had to print the model standing upright, so the force doesn't go against the layer (or printing bed). I also split it in half to match the printer's height.
