Ford Flat Head V8 Engine Display Stand
thingiverse
After completing Eric Harrell's Ford Flat Head Engine design, I built the Engine Stand he also made available. However, a major issue arose - the combination of both is enormous, making it challenging to find an ideal location within my house to showcase it effectively. It excels for demos and similar applications, but from a storage perspective, it falls short. To address this problem, I created a compact Display Stand that simplifies display arrangements. The design features two front-mounted brackets on the Block and one bracket attached to the Bell Housing. A rear bracket with small standoffs provides clearance around the Bell Housing. Each of the four legs boasts a small foot glued onto it for improved support - a visual touch as well. Note: if you decide to print this, each foot is uniquely different from the others due to distinct labeling and orientation, mimicking the view from the engine's back. I printed the entire assembly using Translucent PLA to create a subtle contrast with the actual engine's appearance.
