I recently tackled a rattling issue on my 08 F-150 by fabricating an ABS bushing for the tailgate latch catch, which had worn out over time. The new bushing has significantly reduced noise, making it almost silent now. However, I noticed that the ABS bushing is already showing signs of wear from frequent use, so its lifespan remains uncertain. To address this concern, I 3D printed a TPU bushing as a backup to test its performance and durability.
