Ford Explorer Mix Door Lever
thingiverse
I'm sorry it took me so long to get this right, but when I finally remembered exactly which vehicle I was working on at the time, everything fell into place. I updated my info with a pic of the vin. I created this part to fix a 2009 Ford Explorer that wasn't blowing air out the panel vents. I opened the glove box and dropped it down so I could access behind it. That's when I found this small piece with the arm snapped clean off. It pulled straight out, which was fortunate because Ford only offered it as part of a $400 assembly that would have required removing the dash to install. I redesigned it to take a screw where the old one had a plastic pivot. You won't find any parametric designs here, but I've included the (messy) openscad file for your convenience. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: I3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 50% Notes: I ran five solid layers on top and bottom, plus five perimeters. The final print was in black ABS for heat resistance, with a couple of orange PLA's for testing purposes.
