Ford Edge Sync 3 Brackets
thingiverse
Brackets are necessary to adapt a flat-sided Sync 2/3 screen to a 2011 Ford Edge, which has a stepped side screen originally. I printed my brackets in PETG with 100% infill using one bracket attached to the build plate and the other to the car's side. This approach ensures that each bracket has opposite strength and weakness characteristics. The bottom hole of the bracket may tear away if you install and remove it, as its thin sides make it prone to damage. Additionally, the Ford bolt heads bite into the surface, which can cause further stress on the bracket. If your screen has a stepped side, support posts are not required, and the original steel brackets will work seamlessly. However, I did not include these dowels in my design to save print time and keep things simple. Please note that these brackets cannot be used or remixed for commercial purposes. No warranty is implied, and using these brackets comes with your own risk, with no liability to the author.
