Ford Door Lock Posts
thingiverse
I'm proud of my DIY skills, especially when it comes to customizing my trusty 1996 Ford Ranger. The door lock posts had given up the ghost, making them nearly impossible to use. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and fabricate new ones using my 3D printer. After all, isn't that what these machines are made for? First things first, I needed to get the right threads on these custom parts. A quick trip to the hardware store yielded a drill bit and tap that would fit the door lock rods perfectly - a 10-32 thread size was just what I needed. Now, if you're feeling inspired by my ingenuity, please do share your own DIY creations with me! I'd love to see how they turned out and hear about any challenges you overcame along the way.
