I designed this system specifically for my Ford Ranger after I removed the key lock mechanism and replaced it with this unit, which I refer to as a "deletion" device - not because I dislike the term itself, but rather because it doesn't accurately convey its purpose. Its intended design includes a thin water-tight seal made of a 1-1.5mm thick closed-cell material.
