I've recently encountered a problem with the gearshift arm on my wife's Ford C-MAX - it was broken into multiple pieces. This is not an isolated incident as I can read online. Since the gear lever itself was still in good condition, I designed a new frame. To make it more flexible than the old one, I used PETG for printing. With the result, I'm very satisfied, but the installation process wasn't entirely smooth: Attempting to deburr the leather sleeve on the print part was not a good idea as it would then break in the direction of pressure. However, hot glue holds well! If you're interested, you can drill through the old Tacker holes in the leather with 1mm and use the original clips again, just like I did.
